What is Colonic Hydrotherapy

Colonic Hydrotherapy is a safe and natural therapy to detox the body and increase energy levels. It gently stimulates the colon with purified water, allowing for the removal of toxins build up. It draws water containing nutrients into the colon through the rectum where it gently massages the walls of the colon. It improves health by increasing the body’s ability to cleanse and detoxify itself.

It positively effects the body physically, mentally and emotionally. Colonic hydrotherapy gently and gradually decreases the toxic build-up in the intestines, thereby reducing inflammation and irritation.

The benefits

Helps to cleanse the colon, which gets rid of yeast, bacterial and fungal blooms in the intestinal tract. As a result, there are multiple other health benefits such as better digestion and nutrient absorption and weight loss. It opens up the blood vessels to increase circulation and flush the system, kills bacteria, relieves dehydration, stimulates immune function, eases constipation and improves digestion.

What happens in a session?

Your colon is gently flushed out with warm, filtered water and a sterile tube, known as a speculum, is inserted. This allows the therapist to see inside your colon and helps them remove any impacted faeces or diverticular stones. In most sessions, the first 30 minutes is spent with the client in a private room where they relax, read or journal. The next 40 minutes the therapist will perform a series of gentle back-to-front irrigation techniques which cleanse and expel toxins.

How will you feel after?

You will experience a sense of peace, calm and wellbeing. You may feel different for a couple of days after the first session.

Full of energy, happy and generally fantastic.

Pretty great! You’ll go from feeling sluggish to energized.
