Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils and plant extracts to treat a variety of different conditions. It can be used to bring harmony to a persons mind, body and soul.
The oils can be used for massaging, in creams, lotions and oils for applying to your body, in baths, steam inhalation, aromatic spritzers, diffusions and inhalations.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists (IFA) created this annual campaign with the aim to raise awareness of the benefits of aromatherapy. Because of the current COVID-19 pandemic, this week focuses on raising awareness of how essential oils can improve hygiene, boost immunity and support the respiratory system, as well as assisting with the psychological effects this unprecedented situation is having on mental health.
