Meditation can be used to encourage mindfulness, but you can also practice it by simply focussing on the things around you. This can be done at home or outside, at work or even on an aeroplane. Relax and focus on each of your senses in turn, and be mindful of what you can hear, feel, see, smell or even taste. This can help with your mental health as it makes you to appreciate everything around you.
